“The police said that the fight broke out around 4:30 p.m. on the concourse after the Jets beat the Patriots, 30-27, in overtime.”

The YouTube video, now seen by over 130,000 people, indicates that the combatants wore team “colors” and one was known for his green and white Jetsmobile.

How important was this win or loss? Despite the high emotions resulting from an overtime ending, will the fight be worth the court appearances? Who will remember the result in even a few months’ time?

Who remembers? Who cares? Well, other than the parties themselves that get paid for the pointless fighting.

Are those who support our two political parties really any different from fans who buy expensive tickets, eat expensive hot dogs, drink expensive beer and wear expensive jerseys?
