World War Three at a Time: The Podcast

Three weeks ago, when I wrote a story about the “3Ps” – pandemic, prosperity, politics (or the “3Es” – epidemic, economy, election), it drew little notice even by blogger standards.

Since then, concerns about the conflicts inherent in simultaneous efforts to stop an epidemic, revive an economy and elect a president (to say nothing of countless other federal, state and local officials) have increased.

In this podcast, Frazer Rice and I discuss the tradeoffs among the three that are becoming increasingly apparent… and troubling.

How will the public respond if outcomes are close and if they appear to have been influenced unfairly?
